The very core of your writing whilst appearing reasonable initially, did not really sit very well with me after some time. Somewhere throughout the sentences you actually were able to make me a believer but just for a short while. I however have a problem with your leaps in assumptions and one would do nicely to help fill in those gaps. When you can accomplish that, I would definitely be impressed.
